Efrat Shay z''l

Our dear Efrat was born the 17th of Tishrei, Chol Hamoed Sukkot.
We called our wonderful baby Efrat.
Efrat – fruitful, like the word Pri- fruit, and as interpreted by Rashi and the Midrash in Parshat Shemot (24-14): Efrat is Miriam.
And why was Miriam called Efrat? Because the Jewish nation multiplied because of her.
Later on I discovered another special thing.
Efrat was born the night of 17 Tishrei, the day of Sukot of Ushpizin Yacov. Yacov represents the aspect of Tiferet - Glory. Tiferet is spelled with the same letters as Efrat. Like Efrat's characteristics; LeTiferet, glorious!

Efrat had a special and big inner beauty, her inside was like a big light that shown outward and had a positive effect and left a great impression.

We, parents of Efrat, always felt that Efrat would contribute to the Jewish nation.

We were not mistaken.During the seven years of her life, Efrat sanctified G-d's name with her wonderful character. She did good deeds for everyone, was respectful to her parents with all her heart, ran to do good and always gave to others, just like our matriarch Rachel.
Efrat also sanctifies G-d's name in her death, and continues through her great impact on us, by our efforts to save Jewish children, just like Miriam who helped the Jewish people be fruitful and multiply.
